Spring is just two weeks away. Longer days and warmer weather will have us eager to get active outside again. But be aware, overexertion may result in pain or injury.
Those of us who spent the winter cozied up the couch should know to take it easy at first, but life happens. The yard needs clearing, the porch needs painting, and soon our poor joints and backs will be aching. If this sounds like you, or you experience joint pain from changes in the weather, grab your heating pad and get familiar with these homeopathic medicines.
For muscle or joint pain that is improved by rest, take Bryonia.* Use Rhus tox instead if your pain and stiffness is improved by motion.*
Too much time spent hunched over your garden bed can leave your lower back with intense, shooting pain. That’s when you’ll want Hypericum perforatum, the homeopathic preparation of St. John’s wort, because it relieves sharp pain that follows the nerve’s path.*
The proverbial “lion” that is March can come roaring in with snow squalls, downpours, and other wet weather. Dulcamara is essential for joint pain triggered or worsened by dampness.*
In this video, homeopathic expert Joette Calabrese, HMC, PHom M, shows you which medicines can help with joint and nerve pain.
