NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa., Oct. 21, 2025 — Boiron, world leader in homeopathic medicines, will serve as the presenting sponsor of Once Upon a Run: A Storybook Costumed Festival & 5K, hosted by the Friends of Newtown Public Library. The inaugural event is scheduled for April 19, 2026. Festival activities will take place outside of Boiron’s U.S. headquarters at 4 Campus Boulevard, which will also serve as the start and finish line for the proposed 5K course. The route will run from Boiron through Springton Pointe Estates, then loop back to Boiron.

Once Upon a Run supports the Friends of Newtown Public Library by raising funds for vital services, programs, and enhancements, helping the Newtown Public Library continue its work promoting literacy and community connection in Newtown Square. Boiron’s sponsorship reflects its commitment to supporting local communities and encouraging healthy, active lifestyles.

The festival will feature activities for children and adults, a variety of local vendors, and opportunities for participants to connect with Boiron, presenting sponsor, and Bonefish Grill, the primary food sponsor, along with other community partners such as Porsche Main Line who also pledged early support for Once Upon a Run. Participants are encouraged to dress in storybook-inspired costumes for a day of family fun and fitness.

As part of Once Upon a Run, the Friends of Newtown Public Library are inviting community support for a special fundraising raffle. PGA of America has generously donated four pairs of tickets to the sold-out 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club (May 14–17, 2026). Tickets for the raffle to win a pair of tickets for Thursday, May 14, are $40 each with unlimited entries. Tickets can be purchased inside Newtown Public Library on a limited basis. The raffle will continue up to 6 p.m. on April 19, 2026, when the winning ticket will be drawn live by the celebrity MC during the Once Upon a Run Festival.

Tickets for the three separate raffles to win a pair of tickets for Friday, May 15, Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17, are $100 each with a limit of 100 entries for each of the three raffles. Tickets will be available during the Friends of Newtown Public Library’s November Clothing Sale at Newtown Public Library on Friday, November 14 (6:00 to 8:00 p.m.), and Saturday, November 15 (10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.), if needed. The three winning tickets will be drawn as soon as the 100-entry limit is reached. In accordance with Pennsylvania law, entrants must be 18 or older, raffle tickets must be sold by members of the Friends of Newtown Public Library and must be purchased in person with cash or check only.
