Summary:

The Sales Support Analyst will be responsible for providing analytical support for the Mass Market (or Food, Drug, Mass) Sales Team. The individual will utilize internal and external data including IRI/Circana, as well as other syndicated data sources, and Retailer specific data portals to successfully assist in the growth of the Mass Market channel.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops/enhances structured reports to provide better visibility on business data for the team.
  • Acts as liaison and works cross functionally with Marketing, Finance, and other internal departments.
  • Assists in managing ADF (account development funds) budgets and being proactive regarding aberrations.
  • Assists the Senior Sales Analyst in compiling data needed to create stories, brand/category propositions to the retailers/trade.
  • Works on updating and maintaining โ€˜Weekly Salesโ€™ excel spreadsheet report.
  • Assists with the preparation of budget.
  • Gathers information and data to be provided to Senior Sales Analyst in order to identify issues & solve problems before they occur.
  • Create single sell sheet/one pager, for any and all branded products, and upload to the broker sales portal. Use the most recent sales data to update these on a monthly basis.
  • Works closely with brokers to leverage/optimize all available data resources and communicate Boiron initiatives. This includes updating the broker portal to include pricing, product images, marketing tools, product one pagers etc.
  • Provides analytical and strategic assistance on major category development projects and presentations through the use of syndicated data (including customer specific POS i.e. Walmart Luminate) and other pertinent information software applications.
  • Periodically assist Mass Market sales team with attending trade shows, operations meetings, and business planning meetings. This may include updating and creating sales proposition decks for any/all Boiron brands.
  • Provide general intelligence on key competitors.
  • Provide analysis and updates on sales reports pertaining to the Drug Wholesale Class of Trade
  • Attend trades shows, client meetings and partner meetings while representing the company professionally, ethically and morally at all times.
  • Monitor retail promotions and distribution for regional food, drug, and mass retailers.
  • Develop Category Review schedule master sheet and actively communicate upcoming review dates to the Mass Market Team
  • Understand and analyze syndicated data from the SPINS/Natural Class of Trade in order to suggest possible product integration strategies from Natural to Mass Market
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education: BS/BA with concentration in Accounting, Finance or Marketing or related field.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience within CPG industry preferred.
  • Experience with Financial Reporting Systems and the desire to work with new systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Microsoft Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and CRM systems, including complex/compound spreadsheets.
  • Advanced problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrate depth of knowledge & understanding of customers, sales strategy and the company’s products
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently within a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Deadline oriented and has the ability to complete tasks independently.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects.
  • Proven professional ability to develop and grow key accounts through networking at all levels on the customer organization and experience in strategic account management, strategic solution, selling and face-to-face selling.
  • Excellent presentation/communication/influencing/negotiating skills, both written and verbal, required.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license
  • Position requires confidence and experience in a customer facing role, preferably using business-to-business consultative selling, with professional organizations.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically (primarily) and international (occasionally).
