Homeopathy Celebrated Around the Globe

Last updated on July 21st, 2022 at 09:51 am

Homeopathy was invented by Samuel Christian Hahnemann (1755-1843).

World Homeopathy Awareness Week (WHAW) kicks off today to celebrate homeopathic practitioners, supporters and those who have been healed with homeopathy. For the past 14 years, the World Homeopathy Awareness Organization has been hosting a week of educational activities to help raise the profile of homeopathic medicines around the globe. Today is a particularly meaningful day in homeopathy circles. Samuel Hahnemann, the German physician who founded homeopathy, was born on this date in 1775.

Homeopathy, a therapeutic method that uses highly diluted natural substances to relieve symptoms, derives from the Greek words homeo, meaning “similar,” and pathos, meaning “suffering” (such as the pathology of a disease). Homeopathy operates on a “like cures like” principle that has been used empirically for more than 200 years, and is now confirmed by an increasing number of research publications.

During WHAW, expect to see free public events such as homeopathy-focused lectures, press campaigns, free or reduced clinics, essays and articles, conversations on Twitter and Facebook, and much more in over 40 countries. To learn how you can participate or support homeopathy awareness, click here.

  1. I’m so excited to see you sell from your website now. I have practiced homeopathy for over 25 years and don’t take any allopathic meds -except for a couple of OTC -like Excedrin & Ibuprofen. I have treated others with simple ailments and they are amazed at the results they get.
Thank you for your hard work in helping me to over-coming conventional means.
    Jude
